Most small businesses in Pakistan still keep accounts in registers or Excel, or use software made for other countries. HisabMate.pk was designed and built by founder Rana Yasir Ali as one platform that adapts to each type of business, works in Urdu as well as English, and keeps sales, stock and ledgers correct together.
THE PROBLEM
What was getting in the way?
- Udhar (credit) recorded in registers and never fully recovered.
- No reliable view of real stock, cost or profit.
- Installment plans and recoveries tracked by hand.
- Medicine batches and expiry dates missed.
- Software available only in English and built for other markets.
WHAT WAS BUILT
The delivered solution
- POS, purchases, returns, quotations, expenses, cash and bank.
- Customer and supplier ledgers with Urdu PDF statements.
- Installments, schemes, batch and expiry, cylinders and containers, multiple shops and warehouses.
- Setup for 58 business types, with modules switched on per business.
- 60+ reports with PDF export and seven invoice sizes, from thermal receipt to A4.
- Browser on PC and an Android app.
HOW
How it is built
React and TypeScript on the front end, with an Android app built from the same code. Supabase (PostgreSQL) holds the business rules in database functions, so a sale, its stock movement and the customer ledger are saved together in one transaction: all or nothing. Every table is protected by row-level security so one business can never read another’s data, user roles are checked on the server, and an offline retry queue saves each entry exactly once when the connection returns. Every database change starts with a backup and a dry run.
HOW
Website and search
The HisabMate.pk website is itself a search project: a page for each business type and feature, buying guides, qist and scheme calculators, a full Urdu version, structured data, a sitemap and an llms.txt file for AI search.
